SPD Students Explore Healthcare Access in Migrant Communities in Kanchanaburi

On 19-20 April 2025, a group of student visited the Mon village in Kanjanaburi, led by a professor who is an expert in the field, to study access to healthcare in migrant communities, as a part of SPD442: Migration and Changing Society. The visit also allows the opportunity for students to give care packages to the local migrant community to support their livelihoods. The trip allowed students to see first-hand the livelihoods of migrants who migrated to Thailand under various circumstances and motivations. Useful insights and experiences were given by local experts, which ties the pieces together, and allows students to see the bigger picture.
