On December 8-9, 2023, the Social Policy and Development Programme (SPD) within the Faculty of Social Administration successfully hosted the ‘International Workshop and Seminar on One Health Practices in Addressing Agricultural Challenges: Lessons from Covid-19.’ The event was held at the Mandarin Bangkok Hotel and the Lok Yim Social Enterprise in Suphanburi Province and was a collaborative effort with the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the National University of Lao, as well as universities in Vietnam, including Tra Vinh University, Can Tho University, and Tian Giang University. The collaboration was in conjunction with the research project titled ‘One Health Approach towards COVID-19 transmission among farmers in Thailand, Lao PDR, and Vietnam: A Comparative Study of Influencing Factors.’
This joint initiative drew the participation of 20 students and 10 professors, showcasing the active engagement and commendable collaboration between the involved universities. The event served as an indication of SPD’s growing recognition for their research contributions in the field of social policy development.
