AWLF Asia Women Leaders International Pre-Summit 2024

On 15th May 2024, our 4th year and soon-to-graduate student, Aly Ng, saw the culmination of many months of hard work as Lead Project Coordinator at Asia Women Leaders Forum at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok as high profile speakers and panelists from all over the world convened at this global forum focussing on women leadership, gender inequality, with policy discussions on the environment, education, and the economy, all aiming at exploring actionable solutions to empower women.

This Pre-Summit, organised by Aly and her team, including our 4th year student Chan Meymey (Lyn), convened 100 prominent leaders from the Asia Pacific region, including former Prime Minister of Thailand Abhisit, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Hon. Patsarin Ramwong, Member of the House of Representatives Thailand, Her Royal Highness Princess Norodom Rattana Devi of Cambodia and Dr. Ethel Agnes Valenzuela from the ASEAN Secretariat, to name just a few.

Aly says “I hope my work inspires many SPD students and youths to partake in the world of policy making and continue to be change-makers in the career path they dream of”.
