TU102 Students Explore “Thainess” at the National Museum Bangkok

On September 3, Ajan Andy and Professor Dr. Thanik Lertchanrit led 48 students from TU102 Life & Aesthetics, representing 8 nationalities, on a field visit to the National Museum Bangkok.
The program offered students the opportunity to engage deeply with Thai culture, religion, and history across the Dvaravati, Srivijaya, Sukhothai, and Ayutthaya periods. Through this exploration, students reflected on the concept of “Thainess” from an aesthetic perspective, critically examining how power, institutions, and conflict are embedded in cultural expressions.
