Since graduating from SPD, Zayyar has worked as both a journalist and businessman in Myanmar, and is now expanding the jewelry/gem business to Thailand by opening a company in Bangkok. He is also using what he learnt from SPD to teach Social Studies and Global Citizenship for secondary students at an international high school in Yangon as a part time teacher.
