A two-month internship aims to close the gap between the classroom and the labor market by maintaining a close relationship with professionals engaged in the field of social policy and development. The organizations that have previously hosted our students as interns are, for example, ASEAN Foundation, British Council, Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
The SPD programme is open to ambitious and driven Thai and international students. The exchange programme guarantees exceptional academic and extra-curriculum experiences in the host universities through the strong network of partnerships with the SPD programme itself and with Thammasat University. Our international students come from countries such as Bhutan, Cambodia, China, France, Germany, Myanmar, Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, and USA.
We have hosted students from Europe, America and Asia. Such a variety of nationalities encourages intensive exchanges of perspectives, experiences, knowledge, skills and culture during their study. Exchange students who are enrolled at another faculty at Thammasat University, are also welcomed.

The SPD programmed offers its students a chance to spend one semester abroad during their third or fourth year at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. A large number of exchange programme from universities all over the world are also available for students of Thammasat University throughout the year.

SPD provides partial scholarship up to 50% for foreign students from developing countries. Candidates can also seek scholarship opportunities from other organizations. Examples of these kinds of organizations include Thailand International Cooperation Agency, Child’s Dream, Prospect Burma and Cambodian Children’s Fund. Some ‘Emergency Grant’ are provided to students in emergency situations.

After class you can relax with your friends in the gym, playing basketball, volleyball, and badminton, football and other sports in track and field on a large green field at the center of the Tha Prachan campus. Fitness is also available with hygiene and COVID-19 prevention measures.
