On 22 April 2024, Ajarn Yeji Yoo led students from SPD110 Social Change & Contemporary Issues on a field trip to visit the Bangkok Waste Incineration Power Plant. The field trip explored the concept of waste-to-energy and enabled students to think critically about whether it can be a solution for urban waste management and energy transition.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to tour the plant and see first-hand the process of turning solid waste into electricity. We would like to thank the team at the power plant for welcoming us and giving us a detailed explanation and tour of the plant.
