Because food culture reflects community development, and Green Social Work serves as a vital tool for driving sustainable community progress.
On June 15–18, 2026, the Bachelor of Social Work Program, in collaboration with the Social Policy and Development Program (SPD International Program), Faculty of Social Administration, organized the “Great Taste, Good Memories, Healthy Life” project at Baan Uhu, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province. The initiative aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of local food culture, encompassing the processes of raw material production and harvesting, food preparation and cooking, food preservation, as well as the customs and practices of dining. This holistically reflects the interconnectedness between humans, society, and nature.
This activity marks another significant step in promoting the concept of Green Social Work, which focuses on understanding the complex relationships between people, communities, and the environment. This is a critical issue in a contemporary global context where societies face mounting challenges from climate change and worsening environmental problems.
