On 25th November, 2024, SPD hosted a visit by 64 academics and postgraduate students from faculties of education at 4 universities in the Philippines, as part of Thailand-Philippines Bilateral Graduate Student Research Forum, organised by Kasetsart University. The universities represented included Bohol Island State University, Mariano Marcos State University, Philippine Normal University and Mindanao State University.
The delegation was welcomed by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr Auschala Chalayonnavin. A special lecture on “Neoliberalism and Thai Higher Education” was delivered by Director of SPD and Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Dr Pred Evans, followed by a networking meeting between Dr Evans and Dr Mahesh Chougule and the academic leaders. Many areas of potential collaboration were explored. Our 4th year students on SPD, led by Thorfan, lent their kind support by assisting at the event and taking the Masters students on a tour of our campus.
